Support the Library

It takes a village…and everyone in the community benefits from the support provided to the Huntington Public Library! Here are some ways you can help.

Financial donation

Donate directly using PayPal

Participate in events held by the Friends of the Huntington Public Library, such as goat yoga!

Contact the Library if you have questions.

Adopt an Author

Our Adopt an Author Program enables patrons to ensure that the latest offerings from their favorite authors are available at the Library by having the Library purchase the books at library rate and then billing the patron donor for the price of the item which is then donated to the Library.  Those who participate in the Adopt an Author Program are given first right to the item and a special book plate is placed in the book acknowledging the donor.  There are currently over 80 adopted authors.

Donations of Time, Skills, or Materials

We do accept donations of library materials, such as books, from time to time. Please review our Donation Guidelines and contact us if you have materials we may find of interest. Please do not drop materials off at the library without prior approval.

One of the wonderful things about our small town is that many people have skills and time to help support our local organizations. If you have an idea for helping out the HPL, please contact one of our librarians or a member of the board of trustees to discuss your thoughts.
