Our new author spotlight board, located in the children’s section of the library, is intended to celebrate beloved authors, as well as introduce our hidden gem authors. Children’s authors hold a unique capability of addressing our children and opening up their world to whole new levels. Each and every author has an incredibly particular voice in their story telling and bring something special to the world of children’s literature. I truly believe any person who can make a child fall in love with reading deserves to be celebrated for that alone. Along with the bulletin board display there will be crates out featuring our spotlight artists books, as well as an activity or craft to encourage a conversation about our special artist. I hope you all enjoy this journey we will be taking together and I look forward to sharing more ideas!
