Volunteer Extraordinaire Introducing our new Children’s Volunteer, Monique Hemme! Monique has a special love for all things children! Thanks to her efforts the library now has a children’s bulletin board which will feature a favorite author and children’s projects throughout the year. Be on the lookout for her contribution to our Huntington Public Library WordPress Website!
Huntington Playgroup, Fridays 10:00 am – noon. Sponsored by Brighter Futures Playgroup and facilitated by Jen O’Hora. The Playgroup aims to provide a fun, safe, and welcoming place for children and their caregivers to socialize. For more information
Story Time, Fridays 10:45 am Babies and toddlers learn pre-literacy skills by listening to stories, rhymes, and singing songs. We also do crafts to work on our fine motor skills!
Thank you to all who volunteered and donated their time, food, and presence to make this year’s BBQ a huge success! We are so grateful for our community’s support. This year’s event was a fundraiser to benefit HELD (Huntington Endowment for Library Development), which is a nonprofit organization created to build an endowment to support the future of the Library.
Zero Waste The Library is now a Zero Waste venue. When you come to the Library and/or attend programs where refreshments are served we ask that you bring your own cups, plates, utensils and napkins.
Substitutes and Volunteers Please consider donating your time to keep the library open! We are in need of a pool of volunteers to keep the library open on Sundays for shifts of 2 ½ hours to 5 hours. We also need substitutes for open weekday hours. Training is provided. Please contact the library for more information.
